I am going to be doing my best to save up pennies to do one of two things.

Fly to London and meet any whitechaplers there do the tourist thing and harass Warren.
Never been out of the states and air planes terrify me.

Drive to dragon con dress up and meet whitechaplers going there.
Would end up being just as expensive as the London trip since i would need to get my car completely fixed to do the trip.

What are your pros and cons- are you in London or near enough for me to harass you? Are you going to dragon con and are wandering around in costume?

There's lots of stuff in and around London, but coming from the States for four days? By the time you're over the jet lag it'll be time to go home.

But it's a big town, and there's places nearby that are worth a look, so I'd save it for some time when you've got a week (or more). Especially if that "four days" includes travel time, because the day going there and the day coming back will be wasted at airports and struggling with public transit, so you're really talking about only two days. I did a weekend in London once and had a blast, but I'd been there before, so I was already pretty well oriented to the city and could just hit the Tube and go places, without caring that I was missing everything else.]]>
