A friend of mine doesn't have a PS3 but was interested in playing the God of War series. So we're going to be smashing up some Greek gods and creatures over the summer here at mine. Man, I'm looking forward to this.
email me Post your usernames and my partner will add you to our server's "allowed" list so that all us WCers can play together. So far it's just 4 or 5 of us on that server with only one guy who consistently logs in and creates new things like mad (I haven't logged on in months x___x).
I just kicked the Water Temple's ass in Zelda:OoT. It was pretty frustrating and I guess I wasn't the only one as I remember hearing about it for years and just now saw there are a ton of guides just for that one place.
i distinctly remember playing that damn temple until the sun was coming up in the winter of 97 or 98...man, i miss all night marathon gaming sessions. i cant even think of the last time i did that.
I hated the first AC. I liked AC 2, and LOVED AC: Brotherhood. I should have stopped there.
Revelations isn't bad, but it ain't as good as Brotherhood. I should have taken a break, and then come back when I really missed the series. I do really like the mutiplayer, though.
Oh well. I can't decide if I'm going to play Portal 2 next or the zombie Red Dead Redemption.
And speaking of multiplayer, is there a Whitechapel gamertag directory? I only have a PS3, but if anyone looking to pad their contact list, feel free to add me as "DonburiBoy". Just put "whitechapel" in the text box so I know where you come from.
I have the following multiplayer options: AC: Brotherhood, AC: Revelations, LittleBigPlanet 1 & 2, Modnation Racers, Red Dead Redemption, Street Fighter 2, 3, and 4, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, Uncharted 2 & 3, Simpsons Arcade Game, BattleFantasia, Bomberman Ultra, and Dead Nation. I'm only online as work allows, but again, happy to play with anyone. Fair warning: I suck at everything, so only add me if you're okay with losing :)
@DonburiBoy - I rarely use my PS3 these games since Edgar (my partner) is always buying xbox games, but I'll add you (I forgot exactly what my username is off the top of my head but it's some form of Argos - probably ArgosXII). I have LBP 1 and Uncharted 2 from that list, wouldn't mind going through LPB again in multiplayer. Or finishing it, for that matter, I got stuck on the level with the giant spinning electrified maze thingy.
I was about to send you an email, Argos, but I remembered that my Minecraft account magically became not-premium after purchasing the game two days prior. >:|
Has anyone had this happen to them? I shot them an email after checking their FAQ, but that was a couple days ago. (ETA: I just noticed that they're still working through February's emails, holy shit.)
(Also ETA: Apparently my payment was refunded because that just happens sometimes. Oh well...)
Ah, the water temple. It's not massively difficult, it just has one leap of logic that's not obvious. It's also married to the really frusrating controls for changing between the types of boot so you can sink and rise at the right points (they massively improved that in the 3DS remake, as a result it's nowhere near as irritating a dungeon there as it was on the original N64 version)
@Magnulus - awesome! Edgar has added you to the allowed list. Server info is: miriku.dlinkddns.com
Speaking of, I guess it's not biggie for me to post the server info online since peeps have to be put on the allowed list to be able to use it anyway, so any other minecrafters can just post their username instead of emailing me and I'll get you added. For those who haven't done multiplayer before, you click on add server, enter in the server info, and then use "join server" to log in. We have no clue what "direct connect" does so please don't use it, heh.
@Flabyo - I like how for that last link, the flipside is that boxart is made cuter for Japanese audiences.
I tore El Shaddai: Acension of the Metatron apart.
That game looked amazing and the platforming was good fun, but it had some ideas that were best left to the older generation, mainly the computer controlled camera.
Next, I must defeat Valkyria Chronicles, which I stopped for no reason at all seeing as I loved it.
@Jay Kay - you should go look up Phoenix Games on YouTube. They're legendary for their awfulness here in Europe. They're mostly dodgy Disney cartoon ripoffs with a couple of simple 'colour in the shapes' minigames tacked on. Here's an example:
