There's no backlighting, but the screen is fairly readable.

It's got a touch screen that only seems to work with fingertips. You enter search terms with a little on-screen keyboard (visible above). It displays a list of hits within a few seconds of typing.

The articles do have working links, which is neat.

The reader are on clearance for $15.00.
