It's Thursday, it's mid-afternoon in London, it's another wrongheaded morning in Mericky, it's who-the-fuck-knows-when in Australia, and it's time for more Crossed Hideosity.

    Episode 4, live and free-to-air.

Remember: Not safe for work, not safe for minors, not safe for people of a nervous disposition, not safe for lemmings, not safe for people who drink Cognac, not safe for the blurry outline of a window-impacted pigeon.

    TELL ME THINGS.

Highlight of ma greasy day reading that, like. Thursdays are now officially infected.

Geriatric fist-fooked mammals and urethra rape...ma bairns are definitely not safe!

Oof. That was a gutpunch. Well done.

    Yay!!

ALthough, I keep hearing Hall of the Mountain Womble playing in the background...

    Thoroughly demented.

Loved it. Every time I click to a next page I can't wait to see what comes next . . . and at the same time I'm not sure if I want to. This "sortie...sortie...sortie" business gives me the same mix of anticipation/terror for the entire story arc. I wasn't sure if all the gratuitous gore would really be down my alley, but so far the strength of the writing/story/art have me hooked!

One question on this episode: was the severed hand "grafted" to the head of the rabbit (and making rabbit ears) evidence of the crossed's brand of "humor", or am I missing something? Can't wait for next week!

Man, there were at least three moments in that episode that made me take a sharp intake of breath. Favourite episode so far.

@OoglieMooglie -- Hand rammed into the rabbitneck, not grafted.

I understand Elisa's feelings one hundred and ten percent, so the really unsettling bit was definitely the bunny/hand jam.

Did answer the whole where did granny's hands and whatnot get off to, though. Should be a giggle to find out what happened to her leg. I suspect that the other hand was seen in that cow-splosion scene...

...which I would guess means that somewhere nearby a gang of Crossed knows that there are survivors about ( because leaving poisoned corpses around is kind of the opposite of 'low profile'? ) and they're trying to suss out where they are, using bits of Granny because it's funny and ironic. And convenient maybe, but probably more that other stuff.

Which also means that gang of Crossed has found a stash of grenades, and fuck only knows what else in that case. That's probably not good.

@Si: Thanks for the confirmation. Poor choice of words on my part when I asked--but, check, hand rammed into rabbit. Nice to know I'm generally following along... :)

Hand rammed into the rabbit's neck and giving the two-finger salute. Probably the old woman's hand. Somebody's sending a message to the survivors. Now waiting for the big bad to appear.

Well now it's mid-afternoon in Australia. The hand-bunny frame would make a nice Easter card. HAPPY FUCKING ZOMBIE DAY, FUCKERS.

This comic seriously brings out the misanthrope in me.

I'm glad i'm not there. Oh, SO glad!

    @ J the R

There are worse places. The Skegness Butlins for example.

A sortie is a seriously bad idea. There's obviously a band of 'canny' crossed in the vicinity who know survivors are on Cava as evidenced by the exploding cow & the dismantled granny.
