Another one that I'd suggest contacting is: http://centralcitycomix.com/ as I'm pretty sure they'll up their orders for something when the creative team sends them an e-mail advertising it to them a little bit.
Side Note: If you can find a way to get a bunch of stores e-mail addresses you should send them a little promo e-mail. I know a few different stores that will order / increase their orders when the creative teams shows that they care and take the time to do something like that. -

Don’t believe anything you see, read, or hear from others, whether of authority, religious teachers or texts. Don’t rely on logic alone, nor speculation. Don’t infer or be deceived by appearances.” I read these words when I was about 12 or 13 and this Siddhartha Gautama [the Buddha] quote, together with an influx of new interesting music and books, rewired my brain. But in the six schools I went to, I never heard anything like that from a teacher.
I was lucky enough to have one professor during my last year in college who told us to call bullshit on her if we so felt the need. She was very much about basing her class on horizontal education, as she called it, versus a vertical "I am the teacher and I know everything" education. I was also lucky enough to have enough other teachers and professors throughout high school and university who were open to discussion that I was able to explore the subjects and not just consume their material, but for the most part you hit it on the nail when you said that they just teach us how to be predictable - I definitely had a couple teachers whom I just could not STAND because they were always looking for some very narrow answers. Anyway, this seems really interesting and I am loving the art, so I'll definitely be checking it out. -

relatedly: I read this blog post from a Japanese culture blog I follow about how Japanese Universities aren't doing so well because rather than focusing on educating their students, they're lowering their standards for the sake of keeping paying students, and that people often graduate without proper education because they rush their degree for the sake of getting early start on job hunting. So in the end, they end up with a bunch of graduates who learned nothing while getting their degree because they're just being taught how to job hunt rather than how to think creatively. Furthermore, people are discouraged to study abroad and get different perspective on their education because it's a common belief among Japanese companies that people who study abroad won't work well with co-workers who only studied in Japan, so people will forego going abroad for the sake of increasing their employment opportunities.
Anyway, the blog post itself isn't very in-depth, but they link to a couple decent sources that get into more detail about the issues. -

Bah, I JUST stopped by my local comic shop, and they're having issues with their computer system, so they weren't able to look anything up for me. I did leave them the info though, including Diamond order code, so they're gonna look into it as soon as their able. If it doesn't work out I'll call other comic shops in San Diego and see who can hook me up. -
