    I really have to say that...I'm actually not a fan of Garth Ennis. Well, not totally true. I'm just not a fan of certain projects of Ennis because...well, he's Garth Ennis. Herogasm, for instance, made me lose any and all interest I had in The Boys just because it was so unnecessary. And Crossed struck me as one of those projects. Read a few issues, but in the end I just didn't have any interest because it was like Ennis was just putting things in for the fuck of it.

    And now there's this and I have to say, Si, that I really love this comic. Amazing pacing, great characters. It really works for me. So thank you.

    I don't think I've seen London so trashed since Alan Moore obliterated it in Miracleman. Thank you for giving us this, I'm enjoying it.

    Brr .. I found that bit with the phone calls really creepy, and pretty heartbreaking too. Great stuff.

    I'm really enjoying the comic thus far, despite not being familiar with Crossed previously. Too much in the horror genre uses gore as a proxy for real scares, and I was pleasantly surprised at the psychological aspect of this story (the bit with the phone calls in this episode is a great example).
    That being said, I can't help but be a little annoyed at the negatively stereotypical American fat guy with the camera and the backward cap screaming about cheeseburgers. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong and he's supposed to be Canadian or Australian or something else, but those are generally trademarks associated with the UK's image of the US. I'm not saying that people like that don't exist, because I live in Texas and I get to see them up close every once in a while-- but they represent a tiny part of our population, despite what people elsewhere seem to think. I'm Sure Mr. Spurrier is just reporting what he sees, but it still kind of sucks to be portrayed like that.

    It's a minor thing. The comic is really good, and I'll be supporting it by getting the print version when it's out.

    To be fair, I did think that was just a touch mean too, but then again, us Limeys are always portrayed as effete, villainous wankers in Hollywood movies, so, hey, balance...
