I'm working on a Cracked column about awful comics written by famous people. So far I've got:

    --Warrior by Ultimate Warrior
    --Anything by Glenn Danzig
    --Nash by Kevin Nash

Any others leaping to mind? From what I hear, Mayhem wasn't awful. I'm looking for truly bad stuff. Bonus points if you can point me to a quarter bin copy.

    Thanks, gang.

Do the recent Shia LeBouf comics count?

Mentioning Danzig, I had a friend who ran a comic book shop in Newark, said Danzig came in once and bought every She-Hulk comic in the store. I knew the guy had no taste, makes sense his comic would suck too.

Shia LeBouf comics? I'd better not say anything. It's a joke, yeah? *headache from frowning*

Tinkerers by Dave Brin. Not the writing, but the shitty art and the extensive unauthorised use of celebrity likenesses.

William Shatner's TekWar? ...assuming he wrote any of it.

@flecky-it's no joke. But then again, his comic is so weird it may be actually better than those presented here:P
In general, whenever a novel writer tries to write a comic, the result is not that good. The pacing is the main characteristic that suffers. I don't know if you want to include those because there's no lack of titles there.

    Jonathon Ross' Turf.

Sorry, your wife's stuff's awesome, but sadly it looks like this could have done with a few chats over the breakfast table. Too much 'wouldn't if be cool if' and not enough follow through on that. I really wanted to like it, as I like pretty his offbeat tv stuff a lot.

Didn't Insane Clown Posse do a horrible comic once?

Though I'm not sure if they wrote it.

Actually these things from LaBeouf are fairly decent. The art is crude but they are interesting shorts.

I've always considered ICP a bit of a joke, and figured they were probably just the usual "bad influence" for pre-teen boys. If this panel is any indication of what they're really about, I'll have to move them into the "genuinely bad influence" category.

Every comic Stan Lee has written since the late 80's.

    Every comic Gene Simmons "wrote"?

William, don't forget Gene Simmons' son. Ended up ripping off a manga.

There is an incomplete list of some celebrity comics here. But ignore Sweet Tooth, there is nothing celebrity about it.

    Umbrella Academy's actually good.

The Amory Wars comic is fucking awful.

I've actually read a few of Glenn Danzig's Verotik (pun!) line, including one that featured some girl about to be raped by a demon with a metal-plated dick. I would tend to save him for the #1 spot because there was nothing about his entire company that wasn't a bloated, pus-filled sore -- even the translated issues of Devilman were bizarrely ordered and not fitting of the original.

@ oldhat - oh yeah, how can I forget Nick Simmons. although, one can argue that a son of a celebrity is not actually a celebrity.

@lampcommander - yeah that Verotik stuff is awful even though they had some great talent on it. Frank Frazetta did some covers (which after later reading the books that his covers graced regretted the decision to let them use them) and Eric Canete did some stuff from them. If you ever wanted to embarrass Eric (please don't he's a nice guy) you could always bring up his Verotik work.

What was that junk that Nick Cage's son wrote?

    This, I think.
