Shucks. These fellas have saved my life many times over, I'm sure... but I still have a certain what-the-fuck-are-you-doing-here feeling about them sometimes.
Reminds me of Ralf König's comic "Killer Kondom" about a mutant condom who eats people's dicks. I think there was a Troma movie too, but they removed the gay element.
Oh, no, there was definitely a gay element in Attack of the Killer Condoms, and it also had Bob Hoskins. For some reason the Bob Hoskins part traumatized me. I think I was a kid who had just recently enjoyed watching Who Framed Roger Rabbit? and thought I would enjoy watching Bob play another detective. Boy, was I wrong.
I stand corrected. I must have seen that movie so long ago, that I got some of the details messed up. Well, the version in my head with Bob Hoskins made everything kinda funny.
I will never forget the little condom guy w/ teeth, somewhat reminiscent of the Alien when it first popped out of the guy's chest.
...a Creature who can live Among Us. We want a fiend who preys on the community in as creepy and unconventional a way as possible... a Stealer Of Power. Does it eat laughter? Ideas? Screams? Sexuality? What role in society would it take: this thinner-of-the-human herd?
Ali sits in the local internet cafe, nursing an expresso that she doesn't really need to drink, feeling the waves of data wash over her again. And again. Again. Lunchtime is a rich, potent time. Each URL. Each cel pulse. And when she's had enough for the day, Ali writes down what she remembers and does what she pleases with each bit, each number, each digit.
@Sizer: The hacker as vampire is an interesting take, especially given the recent internet security legislation, and the alternating demonizing and adoration of hackers in fiction. If I were one to tempt urethral maggots, my submission would likely be the Pirate Bay logo.
@Morac: funny, I was worried that my take was too close in essence to Warren's The Drummer from PLANETARY. I figured why not make the acquisition of pirated data somewhat on the sexual tip as well, and also make it very matter-of-fact survival stuff. I'm really interested in the directions this challenge could take.
@struthersneil - Stellar work! Really cool looking and intriguing.
@ Jason A. Quest - I think it's been established now that Jesus was in fact a Litch. http://s3-ak.buzzfed.com/static/enhanced/web05/2012/4/5/11/enhanced-buzz-4883-1333641173-17.jpg
