I've been on these boards for a while, was an active part of The Engine. I've kept my posting to a minimum because, frankly, you people terrify me. In a good way. Most of the time I honestly feel outclassed in conversation here and find it best to listen. It sounds like rainbows up your ass, but its true.
So I made a movie. It took me almost two years to complete it, but after finishing it and being rejected from every MAJOR festival, I entered into the Youtube Partnership program and slapped it up on there for free.
It's called THE WOLFMAN'S HAMMER. I can best describe it as a small, grim, character drama about a heavy metal loving/guitar shredding meth dealer and his flunky cousin, who live in a trailer in Central Oregon. It was made for 8-10 grand, and I think its one of the best movies ever made for that amount of money. You can watch the trailer here:

And you can watch the full, feature length film here for free:
Wife is going away this weekend, I've got some unexpected time to kill. The trailer's pretty strong & the cinematography looks fantastic...already looks like it's a bigger budget then you said. I'm happy to watch it on Sat and give you some feedback.
And, yeah our fellow whitechaplers scare the shit out of me too.
They are a rabid breed of knowledge and talent, these Whitechapel people. Its all crazy and fringe and cutting edge. Quickest way to feel like a culture cretin is to peruse some of the music threads, and I consider myself somewhat of a culture-vulture but around these parts... like I said, I just like to listen.
Thanks for taking the time.
I really think its the most emotionally sound movie made for its budget. I've seen movies that were certainly more taught and narratively sound made for around the same, but I stand by my claim and welcome anyone to disagree.
Just open the folder and sometimes you gotta save as a download. But it should be up. Its testy, and it takes a good two hours to download, depending on your connection speed.
I would rather get the YOUTUBE hit, sure, but if it means somebody not watching it then... to hell with it. All I ask is that if you like it, spread the word, but don't upload the file anywhere else.
just finished it, good job man. I like the way it was shot but think some of the dialogue could've been louder in some parts, I had to turn the volume on my laptop all the way up and still had trouble in a few spots.
@Argos Thank you sir. It was made for 10 grand, and ADR just was out of the question since all the actors moved away. But yeah, its been the primary complaint. Glad it wasn't a waste of time.
@Oddcult Yeah sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. Its why we scrapped the idea to go that route in the first place.
If you are releasing it for free, and people want to download it, have you considered distributing it via torrents? That would allow people who want to watch it offline to do so without hammering your bandwidth.
yes we are certainly going to do that, throw it up on Pirate Bay and whatnot. In due time. I want to see how well it does like this and let it play out on Youtube for a bit and then I'll start spreading it on torrent sites.
