Of course, I don't say that to complain. In fact, I think the conclusion was well-handled. The intensity of the character and setting development is several notches above anything the limited series have provided, and are miking this a much more visceral experience. This episode in particular, being mostly ... er ... 'pastoral', hits a little harder, since you get to see tensions arise that in 'normal, modern' society tend to be shunned.

I grew up in the North-East of this country, and was constantly enduring ""slanguage" (is that a word!?) My grandmother, for example, used the words "bugger" and "bairns" all the time (usually in the same sentence). So far, the "slanguage" in WUWH has been spot-on, and not just a case of sticking the same catchphrase at the end of random speech bubbles. This is good in defining different, genuine characters.

Anyway, that kid is all Crossed-up now, plus-faced.
