It's Thursday, it's mid-afternoon in London, it's another wrongheaded morning in Mericky, it's who-the-fuck-knows-when in Australia, and it's time for more Crossed Hideosity.

    Episode 8, live and free-to-air.

Remember: Not safe for work, not safe for minors, not safe for people of a nervous disposition, not safe for sandworms, not safe for sandalistas, not safe for cankerblossoms.

    I WAN YOR SAYINGZ.

Hah, guess we'll see how well Shakey's luck holds up now!

The dilemma of what to do sigh the child was beautifully handled. And that frame of Massoud sitting by the sea really hit me. He just looks like the lonliest man in the world.

Hmm. I had just assumed at the end of the last episode someone would have killed the kid. Truthfully, it can't be that simple, and I'm glad to see that it still pains these survivors to deal with loose ends like this. In reality, it never would be as simple as "Infected?" BAM! and I'm pleasantly (and equally disturbedly) suprised to see these terrible events played out on screen, as it were.

Jeez Shaky, giving up makes for a pretty boring story, ya know?

Yeah, but you know that Shaky's response to that would probably be something like "Fuck you, you don't have to live through this. You get to sit in front of your computer and enjoy it."

In reality, it never would be as simple as "Infected?" BAM!

The space between the question mark and the BAM is the essence innit?
Liking this series a lot so far, felt a little shiver of vicarious collective fear at the word "lottery"

I didn't read whatever initial response you made, but it seems likely you took some offense at my statement. I did not mean any offense and the "Fuck you" was certainly not directed by me toward you. I was attempting to convey what I thought would be Shaky's likely reaction to the idea that somebody observing his circumstances from a safe distance was complaining that the horrible situation he was in failed to be sufficiently exciting to that observer. Again, I apologize if I inadvertently gave offense to you or anyone.

I was being a dick? Oh boy.

Sure didn't mean that. Sure surprised as hell it was taken that way. i didn't take any offense, JohnJones. My response to you was to expand on why having a plot is generally good for a writer. Trust me, I didn't aim any dickishness at you at all. Or don't trust me... I dunno.

Meh. Mildly surprised that my reaction would be requested from the top and then unwelcome.

Meh all you like. Nobody's saying folks have to enjoy the material up for discussion, and you're welcome to offer your hows and whys in this thread if you're not digging it. But if you wanna do it in a pissy, inarticulate or childish way you can take it somewhere else.

And no: this ain't up for debate, I'm not interested in Why I'm Wrong And Being Pissy And It's Unfair, and the worldwheel grinds on regardless.
