Holy shit, I've been too busy to check this place for a bit and am blown away by all the stuff this month

    @ pupato- love the squirts!
@ imaginary- everything is looking great, love the comics and good luck with kickstarter
    @ mojo- awesome pages
@ mercurial- wow! it's really nice to see your work again, the last face just above is my favorite drawing his month

Here's a short story I just finished, I won't make a habit of posting these in things in their entirety but just for this one, it's is from a series of 30" x 40" ink on paper comics that are going to be framed and presented like "art" for a gallery exhibition this fall.

Hey Apathy! please make a habit of posting those in their entirety, that was amazing. Thanks for sharing it.

And thanks for the information Fred. I use illustrator at my day job, designing signs for the California State Parks. So I really only use it for type. Havnt ever drawn with it but will have to change that sometime. We got a brand new wacom5 large at work that I would have fun playing with. My tablet at home is an ancient 10 year old wacom small.

Your most obscure artwork title ever? Really? Surely you can't be serious.

This isn't my normal kind of thing. I'm hoping for critique. I'm trying to make a logo / symbol / sigil for myself. Here's what I came up with, as part of the "fox" of my last name, and that I'm a medical mystery.

I've still got to work in my name or initials somewhere, somehow. That's the hardest part.

Honestly? You are done, as far as I am concerned. That's a nice mark, with a little mystery attached to it. I really don't think you need to add initials; it's going to be ON YOU.
Understated is always better, and this makes people engage you to find out more, which is what a good mark does.

@Sizer - Oh, no no no, it won't be ON ME like a tattoo (which is what I think you are implying?), it will be on my business cards and as a watermark on my photos, which is why I figured I'd often need to put my name in it or around it somehow. However, getting a thumbs up from you regarding design work is quite an amazing accomplishment for me! AWESOME! *i dance*

Incredible work from all once again.
@Rachæl Tyrell - I concur with Paul, lovely logo. There must be some elegant way to work your initials in around that... Beautiful work.

I've been noodling around in Alchemy again too. This is a recorded session (5sec intervals) that I turned into a short video loop. Let's hope flickr video embeds.
*Edit: embed fail. Grumble grumble grumble... Link

and a static sketch in case none of that works...

@Rachel: Ooops, I did assume it was a tattoo design. No idea why I did that. My crit still stands. If you are using that as part of say, a business card, I would just have your name as part of the type set for the info on the card, or at least make a version of the mark that has and doesn't have you name attached to it.

@initiatezao Was just looking through your website. I love the style and skill behind the stuff you've been putting up here, it's outstanding. And then to top it all off - Tyranids! Wasn't expecting to to stumble upon some killer 40k painting as well. Cheers man, good stuff. If I wasn't a cheap bastard, and your time and skills weren't deservingly worth so much, I'd try to convince you to paint a box of stuff I'd mail to you.

@Rachael, I see it wasn't nearly obscure enough. I will have to go much deeper into the culture-sphere for the next one.

@cj thank you for the kind words. Ya my bugs are a fun distraction. Have not had much time to paint or play. 6th edition rules come out today I think. I heard it makes the game more strategic which I am all for.

@mojo I learned from watching you. HA!
@judge what are the concepts for? I have always liked seeing the construction lines in drawings.

Here is a dragon age drawing from a cos-play image. Been drawing alot this weekend but only got a pile of crap drawings. But I guess that is good ever once in a while.
