    Hi all;

    I'm looking for more raw material to feed my Internet addiction, and Tumblr, Pinterest and the like are all seeming too tame and one-direction. I'm in the mood for some rowdy old-school message boards, especially.

    I've just come across this gem, which I can't *believe* I've overlooked before: Godlike Productions - dedicated to Conspiracy Theories, UFOs and the like.

    Your favorites for lively, edgy discussion?

    Interesting, I will give that link a go. To be honest, I don't really visit many online communities, but maybe it's time to flap my virtual wings. I sometimes visit a couple of recovery sites. An American one called - It's a bit messed-up, as it seems to cater for every fellowship on this rock, from Narcotics Anonymous to Sexaholics Anonymous. The chat on it can get a bit...weird. I've interacted with a couple of OK folks from the States, though.

    The UKNA site has been helpful for people like me, as I used to do a lot of virtual meetings on it. An ex-girlfriend goes on it, and that can get a bit...weird.

    I'm trying to avoid that sort of...weird, at the moment. For various reasons, I've not even got a facebook account.

    Anyway, all this isn't really relevant, and I'm willing to look at people's suggestions from here.

    I used to post a lot on various gaming forums, but got bored of all the bickering. Seems people are willing to debate the more controversial aspects of gaming only up to a point, then they just shut off and shout at you until you agree with them or go away.

    So away I went.

    These days I spend a lot of my time on the forum of The Amsterdam Coffeeshop Directory gently nudging the thread for my place without faling foul of advertising laws.
    If you're planning a trip to Amsterdam before it all goes to shit, then it is a valuable resource, otherwise.. meh, marijuana bores(of which I am one) can be a touch dull.

    I lurk here a lot. Went on to get information when we were buying our flat in Munich, and gave us some useful contacts. Can get quite spikey, but is interesting as you get not only UK/US culture rubbing up against each other but UK/US expat culture. (The name comes from Munich, where the site originally started, being considered very safe and a 'Toytown'.
