    @Argos, kid's got potential for sure. Castrati like that are pretty uncommon. I'd LOVE to see what could happen with some proper instruction. He could get some real breath support under those notes.

    @tedcroland, they're sadly mistaken. This kid has potential, but... For what he's trying to do right now? It's really just potential. If he keeps singing shit like he's singing without proper technique, he'll just damage his pipes.

    @agentarsenic given his speaking voice it's highly unlikely. Contra-tenor would be a better term for him.

    @AgentArsenic, arcaner is right. There aren't any real castrati these days. Counter-tenor/contra-tenor (whatever you want to call it) is a better term.

    yeah, not actual castrati, he just sings like one :P His speaking voice is normal. Agreed with @dork that without proper training he'll likely damage his vocal chords, but I also think it's possible, now that he's seen what kind of reaction his singing can get, that he might pursue actual training. At least I hope.

    @ argos - tv gold right there. boy, what a tear jerker. and i agree w/ dorkmuffin about him needing to get training. otherwise all that talent will be blown in a few years. good for the kid, though, if this story is true.
