A little piece from the BBC on Britains 'Ghost Trains'.

Not sure if the video will have been marked UK only though. The basic idea is that there are a lot of unprofitable routes on the UK rail network, but to actually close a section down it has to go through public inquiry, which is a long and expensive legal procedure. So instead the train companies run the smallest service required to keep the line 'open' in legal terms. One train a week. Most of the time with no-one on them.

Naturally, this being the UK, they attract enthusiasts...

    Submitted for your approval...

Full disclosure this is the Pilot for a series of comedy shorts co-created by Vernon Harcourt himself and myself, please forgive the desperate schilling.

I bring you the Erdos-Bacon-Sabbath numbers. Natalie Portman has an impressively low number.

@oldhat, Frowward, I had to look that up. Perhaps it wasn't 100% accurate but uh, damn close. And kind of funny as a result.

EDITED TO ADD: To be clear, I find that funny because it's an almost accurate attempt to portray what I find to be the main point of QWOP, which is that it's really REALLY hard to walk if you have to think about it. And it's an interesting attempt to portray a very stilted computer animated game.
