Well, another option for far-ranging space travel is the universe of Lois Bujold's Vorkosigan Saga. I wouldn't want to live on Barrayar, but Beta Colony sounds ok, or I could be a spacer, spending most of my time on ships and stations. The technology in her universe is just so exciting, and often highly practical.

Discworld is possibly the only fantasy universe that would tempt me, but it's still only one world to explore...

I'll have to say Star Trek, because when it gets right down to it, Star Trek is one of the very few fictional universes that seems "peon friendly." And let's face it, we're all pretty much peons. Sure some of us here have published works and moved people to some degree, but none of us are going to be worldshakers. We're going to live out our few decades and change, then perish, mostly forgotten. All in all, the Star Trek universe seems like a lovely, comfortable place to do that.
