So the first ever Denver Comic Con is next weekend. Looks to be like a good time. I'll be there all three days, most likely. Friday is kind of up in the air. But Saturday and Sunday, most definitely. My friends who run Krooked Kreations have a table and I'll be hanging out there a lot when I'm taking a break from geeking out all over the place. I'll be the redhead hanging around the table with a guy that looks like Thor.
I don't know how many of you are in Colorado, but if you are, are you going?
I may go on Saturday. I have a bunch of friends who have artist alley tables, and I would have been able to get one had I thought I'd still be living in Colorado when tables were available. Sunday is my wedding anniversary, and I work Friday.... so yeah, Saturday looks like a definite possibility. If I make it up that way, I'll try to stop by your table :)
Cool. Well, it's not my table, I'll just be squatting nearby. I may or may not be in a wheelchair, depending on how I'm feeling that day. I'll probably drive up from the Springs Thursday night and stay with my friends just to avoid the weekend traffic. I loathe getting stuck on I-25, which happens far too often on the weekend.
Nope, no damage other than my dog freaking out. Our apartment is right next to the carports, and the carport roofs are tin or whatever... so when the hail was hitting it, sounded like a machine gun. She was not a happy puppy.
Gotcha . I'm not much into anime either, though I do read a couple of manga titles. I'll be sharing a table with some friends, so if you were going to be there I'd tell you to stop on by.
If you're in Colorado Springs, which comic shop do you frequent (or shops) ? I mostly go to MUSE Comics & Games, although I'm just around the corner from Heroes & Dragons.
Actually, when I buy comics, I usually buy from a place up in Boulder. I go up there once a month or so and just grab a pile all at once. Although I have been over to Heroes & Dragons a few times for gaming nights.
I'm hoping to get a spot in the artist's alley for Comicfest and next year's Comic Con as well, which is why I'm spending this year building up my portfolio.
In Boulder I'm going to guess it's Time Warp? If so, I've only been there once but they had some back issues that made me happy :)
Comicfest was a really good time this year. The change in hotels was a big help. If you were at ComicFest this year and came through Artist Alley you may have come by my table and not known it.
