BULLETPROOF COFFIN DEATHSTROKE (did i talk about this on here? i dont remember, i barely come on here anymore...the Liefeld takeover is retarded-amazing. its like CRANK. if it maintains the apeshit tone, i will be staying) FRANKENSTEIN- this however is probably on its last legs for me. the art change makes everything look paper thin and static, and its starting to feel dragged out instead of insane. INVINCIBLE SAUCER COUNTRY

Bulletproof Coffin Disinterred #5 (of 6) - But of course. Conan the Barbarian #5 - Harren's one of the best artists to emerge in the past few years, and Wood's storytelling is getting stronger and stronger. Great Conan stories. Dancer #2 - Nick Klein is just showing off with this one. Amazing art. Massive #1 - This feels brilliant. Wood's growing as a writer, Donaldson's a master storyteller, Stewart's colors are usually great. Planetoid #1 - A new Image series. Looks similar to 'Prophet', and that series is beautiful and very old Heavy Metal-like, so I'm in for the first arc at least.
Batwoman HC Vol 1 Hydrology - To study the storytelling. Incredible work. Seven Soldiers of Victory TP Vol 2 (of 2) - One of the most imaginative things DC released in the past thirty years.
PS: I didn't have anything at the shop this week as I purchase Brian Woods' stuff in trade format so I decided to pick up Eisner's "The Contract with God Trilogy" hardcover. Only read the first story so far, but damn, do I like what I've read of it. Also going to be reading "Understanding Israel in 60 Days" as a friend that has been there a few times suggested it.
@Warped savant: I asked the same thing on this thread a while back. I know it's easy to quote Watchmen, but I was there when it came out. There wasn't really that many good comics at that point, so it's got a special place in my heart. I met Alan Moore then, just for a signing, and I got big respect for him. I read that interview with him a while back, and some of the things he said got to me.
Flecky -- But they only just started coming out... I only know one real life person that's reading them and he likes it so far... I'm curious to see other people's opinions on them. Are you buying the new ones?
@Warped Savant: I'm not buying them (yet), but if I can get to a store in the city this week (or soon), I reckon I will give them a read (if they still got them) - like you, I'm curious to hear other people's opinions. But your right, they've only just started coming out.
Meh, I didn't care for Minutemen and won't be picking any more of them up. Silk Specter was kind of neat, very pretty, thanks to Amanda Conner, but I am on the fence on that title. I can appreciate Cooke's desire to write but his dialog is not too compelling and is slightly old fashioned, which meshes with the the time if he is trying to write a comic that would have existed 30(ish) years ago. I feel the writing should be, what's the word I'm looking for, breathier, more verbose. I may be a little critical of this but they have a hell of a writer to follow. (tail between my legs, this by no means is to say I could do better)
I am really looking forward to the Azzarello titles, Rorschach and The Comedian, because I know he will be bringing his "A" game on the two characters best suited for him, and Lee Bermejo, hmmm, Lee Bermejo. Ozymandias looks gorgeous from the cover but I am not a big Len Wein fan so I don't know about it.
