    Folks: the first collected edition of the CROSSED: WISH YOU WERE HERE webcomic will be hitting stores in early September.

    But apparently the deadline for retailers to place orders is - boom - tomorrow. That is, Thursday 28th June. By all accounts we're getting a very decent response from stores already, but I'm going to do something highly unSimonish and ask for your Massmind Assistance.

    You don't need me to tell you what an enormous success Freakangels was. The very notion of giving something away for free then asking people to go and pay for it *too* seemed totally counter-intuitive, but it sold like gangbusters. How much of that was down to people loving the webcomic (quite rightly so) and wanting to own it for themselves; and how much down to folks who'd never heard of the thing seeing Warren's name on the cover in-store and just taking a punt? I don't know.

    Either way, attempting to do something similar with a metafictional melancholic diary-based NSFW apocalyptic chiller, with no A-list names up-front, is a big, big experiment. The webcomic has reviewed astonishingly well, and been wonderfully subscribed -- but we still need all the help we can get.

    So: any tweeting, blogging, Local-Store-Pestering or sitting-in-a-library-shouting-at-strangers you can do is going to earn you brownie points, astral crotchnibbles and enormous levels of gratitude.     I'm not offering prizes because, frankly, I was contemplating setting the urethral attack maggots on all of you. Preservation of your peeholes will be reward enough for your sterling efforts.

    Buuuut I might - just - be persuaded to love you forever if you make enough of a noise about this.

    Luckily, my LCS is already pretty cool with all things plusfaced, so I imagine they already have an order in place. I'll certainly be picking up a copy!

    I thought it was still standing tbh but remember , Shaky hasnt yet got out of London in his flashbacks so the Eye may yet fall.

    I called my LCS and placed my order!

    I have a question about the trade, if this has been addressed elsewhere, I apologize - how many chapters will be in the trade? Will it be through chapter 12, which was up when the trade was announced, or will it include some of the chapters that will go up throughout July and August? Thanks!

    22 chapters. And it comes out when we're only up to about ep 18 or 19 of the webcomic, so buyers will be jumping ahead of the browsers.
