    My mother found this bracelet just lying on the sidewalk, so when I went to go visit her today, she gave it to me! I think it's amber and sterling silver. (The photo doesn't do it ANY justice.)

    Also, July is a month to revert back to crazy hair, since my life has been crazy (in a terrible way).

    Nice bracelet. The rectangular chunk is intriguing.

    I prefer my own hair just slightly crazy. How to keep it from going full crazy is the trick.

    @Nigredo

    MOTHERFUCK. I just remembered that I was sleeping quite restlessly and had weird occult dreams, and that goddamn tattoo popped up in them O_O

    These may not look like self-portraits, but they are. I'm with Raquel Rinaldi and Rafael Carvalho.

    Stills taken from the new short film I directed. And allow me to cheat a bit and add two portraits of me and Rafael Carvalho discussing the music during post-production, under the watchful gaze of a plushie (above Rafael's forehead). Otavio Ugá took these.

    Ultimately, Rafael composed the music for Midday Films' new animated logo (designed by Otavio and animated by me) and I composed the music for the first half of the film, because the piano melody had to be made from scratch and Rafael lacked the time to do it. He's the trained musician, but we had to finish the goddamn film.

    Andre Navarro: LATIN HEAT.

    @radicaldoubt: At the risk of sounding like an absolute fashion monster, that bracelet really looks like it belongs on you. Very cool!

    @RadicalDoubt that is a very cool bracelet . . . what super powers are you developing by wearing it?

    @AndreNavarro What Alan Tyson Said.

    And, since it's an update of my appearance:

    Impromptu belated birthday present installation from The Wife, while we were making appointments to continue my octopussing, and her new ink, too. Two weeks on Wednesday: MOAR TENTACLES. Still no Bow Tie :-\

    ETA: Comment from page 2:
    @Alan, JP, Yskaya, et al: goodness you're an attractive bunch.(!!!)

    I wasn't sure what "latin heat" was supposed to mean. At first, I actually thought Alan could be referring to the warm color temperature of the stills, because I can be quite spectacularly clueless. So I asked Alan on Twitter and he explained that "it means you're a sexy brown person, Andre."

    Then he added: "Basically it means you're a J-Lo song come to life. This is more of a compliment than it sounds like, I promise."

    I'm just bringing this up in case anyone else feels like replying "THIS" to whatever this clearly insane person writes. Texture and Phill: you unwittingly agreed that I'm a J-Lo song come to life. This is what you've associated yourselves with. Beware of Alan Tyson.

    Also, thanks.

    I am gonna have to agree w/ Alan. You are the personification of the song "Jenny From the Block", obviously. No, I don't know what this means. No, I don't care.

    @Andre regardless of the genesis of the meme, I agree with its sentiment: extremely handsome person ahoy! And: We're all amazing, but those who forget we're also sharks are in for some trouble, eh? IE: OF COURSE I'm beware-y of Alan Tyson --look at his beard!

    @nigredo That is one awesome tattoo! I've actually been planning for years to have an anatomical heart in that exact location, I just can't find an oldschool ink diagram I like that would look good as a tattoo too.

    @ oda

    Thanks!

    I wanted the same thing (sort of) so I asked the artist to draw it in the style of a woodcut or a vintage anatomical illustration. I was very fortunate because he was into that sort of thing to begin with, I don't know what he ended up using for reference though...
