@ Vorn: If you haven't heard of/seen it already, try looking up "Curry's Paradox" on YouTube. Can't find the clip from the QI episode I first saw it on but it's a good un.

@ phill: Iron Sky, you say? Can't say I've caught wind of that one. If only somebody with in-depth knowledge was available to enlighten us...

Iron Sky is fucking awesome and I can say that objectively because I'm in no way involved in making it or an investor in the film, nor is it directed by one of my oldest and best pals!!11!!ein!

Anyone not already seen this via Charlie Stross' blog?

And hope you weren't rudely awoken at 8.12am GMT by a 3 minute bell-ringlng session.
A mass bell-ringing is due to take place to mark the official start of the Olympic Games.
Conceived by Turner Prize-winner Martin Creed, All The Bells encourages everyone across the UK to ring a bell for three minutes from 08:12 BST.
Thousands of bells are expected to be rung including church bells, hand bells, bicycle bells and doorbells.
Big Ben will also chime 40 times during the period which Creed wants bells rung "as quickly and as loudly as possible".
Organisers hope it will set a world record for the largest number of bells rung simultaneously.
But because a nation of bells might not be enough, they also drafted in a carnyx, the Berwick Celtic war horn to be precise.

I'd love to claim things were now getting silly but I get a feeling we haven't seen the real silliness yet.

Apparently Chip Zdarsky is to blame for this one. (and no, it's not part of a real book).

This is the full version of what the BBC have chopped into bits to serve as the opening credits for their Olympic coverage.

It has a bit of a videogamey feel to it I think (although the gymnast girl creeps me out still)

Apologies if this is a re-post - I don't think I remember seeing it on here...
