Heh. Great minds. I used to live in Falmouth, and seeing that lighthouse always took me straight back to childhood. "84 of these British wraparounds are now missing believed wiped. Only 12 are known to remain." <-- This makes me very sad.
In a vaguely related note, I'm watching the 'Mysterious Cities of Gold' on DVD at the moment, and the DVD has these wonderful little documentaries after each episode. They were never used when the show aired here in the UK so it's the first time I've seen them (despite clearly being aimed at a UK audience, the dubbing refers to 'pounds' for currency etc...).
Some of them date it really well, there's one where it talks about the price of gold, and it's something like 1000% less than it is now...
It never ceases to amaze me how sharp the Sesame Street parodies can be. Here's to hoping some of that cleverness seeps through to the young viewers of the program.
^^but hopefullu not all of it, because they once did a parody of Limp Bizkit - "All for the Cookie." Though that one really is brilliant. Part of me thinks they do this just so that parents and babysitters don't get bored watching the show. Or maybe for all we know the show is actually catered to adults :O dun dun dun
