It's Thursday, it's mid-afternoon in London, it's another wrongheaded morning in Mericky, it's who-the-fuck-knows-when in Australia, and it's time for more Crossed Hideosity.

    Episode 16, live and free-to-air.

Remember: Not safe for work, not safe for minors, not safe for people of a nervous disposition, not safe for sensitive hydrating moisturiser, not safe for Thomas Cromwell, not safe for AKZIDENZ GROTESK.

Simply amazing, I am really enjoying the series so far - roll on next thursday!

Liked it. Would like the leader mentality/qualities Shaky analyzes talked about more. In a world-is-fucked crisis situation, the whole group needs to be moving in one direction. The machine needs all its parts on point.

In a situation like this, I think you watch the smart ones the most out of the group. Shaky is smart enough to realize this sortie has a 99% death rate and is trying to make his play. I like the fact that he failed and Rab caught him. Don tries way too hard to make political a situation that needs no politics at all, only survival. But Rab is like the old man, the Gameskeeper, both hard-edged and practical about things. I hope Rab kept what Shaky did quiet. It's not like any of the others haven't thought about stacking the odds away from them, and Shaky did make a good college try out of it.

Would like to hear more about what Jackson said, about the Crossed out in the world and their...altered behavior. Although the source is suspect, given Jackson likes being in the shit with all those filthy animals.

    Keep 'em coming, Si.

Man, Mr Tooley seemed like a stand up kind of likeable hardass at first. Then there was the whole "keep pissing" bit. Eww. I get the impression that there's more unpleasantness to come, on that front.

On the other hand, I think Rab really is the likeable kind of hardass. Letting Shakey off with a black eye seems almost paternal, by the standards of the Crossed universe.

I've just got the new iPad and this works so well on the tablet format. Love it

I got the 'keep pissing' bit as even when you are taking a piss, you need people watching your ass. Privacy is a luxury in a world where plusfaces can pop out and eat your face in a moment, especially in the woods. The lone warrior shit doesn't work if you're not someone like Jackson, or Mr. Tooley himself, who could probably get by much better on his own or with a smaller group that knew what they were doing.

See, that's really interesting, because I read it as much creepier than that. But that explanation makes a lot or sense. I'm worried that my interpretation actually says more about me than the comic :s

    Creepy reading yes.

    Si you need to clarify

Is Tooley a perv or a somebody keeping lookout?

    *dying of confusion*
  6.  (10771.10)
Put it like this: if Tooley was only interested in keeping lookout, wouldn't he be watching Shaky too?

Another cracker. The anticipation of who is going to get killed/infected/generally fucked over is immense. The gamekeeper is definitely a nasty piece of work but as he keeps Shaky alive for 8 months or so, maybe you need bastards like that in the 'brave new world' of Crossdom. Roll on next week.

Given the set up - isnt it a certainity that Shaky is the Sortie now?

    Also is Jackson still about?
  8.  (10771.14)
Ahahah. Shaky is so effin' funny.

He's already pissed off one boss. Watch him piss off the other one. They'll MAKE him go on the sortie!

This is fast becoming one of my favorite Crossed series. I thought Tooley was a likeable hardass until the whole peeing thing, now I anxiously await his rape/murder at the hands of the Crossed.

I love this web comic series so much.

@Steve Toase I'm reading on my new iPad too, kudos to your view, sir.

Mr Tooley to me is like John Locke and Charles Bronsons bastard love-child.

    Oh trolls.

So there's dodging the plot and then there's *making* the plot. Heh. Nice.
