Thanks all; I've been too long away from actual life drawing, so I am working on correcting that. My rule right now; no erasers. And actually look at form. Like I should be any way, right? Here's the rest of the work from the other night...
@Paul Sizer: Excellent life drawing study! @ HEY APATHY!: Great mural work, man! That look fantastic!
Hey Folks!
Here we have a little gift for Rodrigo Lopez from the Major Spoilers Podcast.... I was listening to Major Spoilers Podcast #433: Listener Feedback when he made mention of how he would treat Batman if he ran the title... so here was my take on that. Cheers, Rodrigo!
And for you folks not familiar with the Mighty Majors Spoilers Podcast, I urge you to give them a listen. Major Spoilers is dedicated to bringing news, reviews, and interviews about the comic book and related industries to fans around the world. They are a lot of fun! http://majorspoilers.com/
@paul…love the analog figure studies @mercurial…your stuff always looks so bold. @lone…lovely comic page. @hey apathy…sweet mural..how long did that take you to do? @tnperkins…awesome!!
trying to start next comic project but keep stumbling...block..ugh! Sporadic sketches seem to be the best I can do at the moment..
Back at the star wars stuff; previous attempt at a set of illustrations for a (parody! parody!) story game stalled due to boredom. A bit happier with the results now. Might even finish. Yay!
@MercurialBlonde - I am really enjoying your stuff! I love all the white spaces against the crazy tripped out colors. The third one you posted almost feels like you took Ben Templesmith's style of drawing people and mixed it with the coloring scheme from Wild Children.
More life drawing, tonight with a 6'-2" girl built like the Olympic volleyball women. She was amazing, and very tough to get proportioned on the paper.
