There was a bit of a lag between doing another one of these because I've been on the road and unpacking and all of those things for like the last week. I get paints and stuff next week though, so I'm excited about that--hopefully the art gods/goddesses will smile on me there, and I won't just end up painting the carpet:
"Very tough to get proportioned," he says. Riiight :p
Well, she was... : ) Seriously, her body was so long that elbows and knees fell at different point on her torso and such. When I drew her foreshortened, she looked regular. As for the markers; I just have a bag of pens I keep for drawing, so whatever is in there gets used. It is a blast.
I did another strip. Used some cheapish "Watercolour" paper that bled a bit but after fixing it in Photoshop I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out.
Been lazy lately, not really putting as much into my art as I had been in previous months, but now that I'm a little less stressed, it's starting to come back. Did this last night, my take on Francine and Katchoo from Strangers in Paradise:
And also, because I wanted to be sure I wasn't becoming too reliant on digital means for drawing, I did this drawing of my favorite lady on my downtime at work over the last week. I did it in tiny increments, like 2 or 3 minutes here and here, probably about 2 hours total.
Wife and kids away, so managed to actually spend a whole day in my sketchbook (well, I don't have a sketch book, just an assortment of papers that all, inevitably, end up on the floor) here's my fav thing (because drawing women is a BIG MASSIVE HOLLY JEEBUS blind spot in my drawing abilities)
