    oh hey, that math video, I learned to draw those as a kid, and always loved them (the dots connected by the lines, not the circles part). I'm actually planning on making 3D versions of those using dowels and colored yarn, but I'm gonna make it so that when you look at them from above, it looks proper, but if you look at it from the side, it just looks like a random assortment of trip wires. Huzzah crafts.

    With less than fifty hours to go, Reaper's kickstarter is nearing $2mil.

    And their goal was $30k.

    Jesus.

    Thanks for that. Despite checking kickstarter daily and mostly looking for miniatures, somehow I have managed to miss this one! [edit: Seems it is listed under just Games, rather than Board and Card Games where most of the other miniatures projects are]

    Edgar thought of whitechapel when he saw this:
    Insane in the Chromatophores

    During experiments on the axons of the Woods Hole squid (loligo pealei), we tested our cockroach leg stimulus protocol on the squid's chromatophores. The results were both interesting and beautiful. The video is a view through an 8x microscope zoomed in on the dorsal side of the caudal fin of the squid. We used a suction electrode to stimulate the fin nerve. Chromatophores are pigmeted cells that come in 3 colors: Brown, Red, and Yellow. Each chromatophore is lined with up to 16 muscles that contract to reveal their color.

    @Kradlum

    NP.

    With 30 hours to go they are at $2.25million. I went in for the $100/Vampire level and dropped another $25 to get the Mythos and Steampunk Dragon minis.

    My wife asked me last night why I was dropping $100 on this and I told her that for that amount I was getting over two hundred minis and that they normally retail for over five dollars a pop. When she did the math and figured out how much money I was saving she bid me carry on.
