    I don't know how much of his work is available to English speakers, though. A lot of it is available in French via Mosquito, who also publishes such great Italian Masters as Dino Battaglia.

    I know he did the cover art for the 5 issues of Marvel 1602 : New World (the follow-up to Neil Gaiman's Marvel 1602) at least, here's one of them :

    @Wood - that's true. all of the stuff I have of his are the French Mosquito editions. maybe that's why many of his fans in America tend to be other artists.

    Archaia is also putting out the Collector and frak...one of his other books. So three of his books in the next six months which I am really excited about. He's a big influence on me. His work will for me live a long time. It's just a shame that he won't be around when those books hit north america for a new audience to discover him. I think he's probably one of the more criminally slept on legends out there. He's one of those guys when you see his stuff for the first time you're like "what the fuck, why didn't anyone say anything about this guy sooner?"

    The 3rd book to be published by Archaia is Scenes from The Bible, more on this forum thread, including lots more gorgeous art.

    I even own a tarot deck illustrated by Toppi, the only time I derogated to my rule of "never buy byproducts, only books and lots of them".

    It... it was Toppi, how could I resist.
