    #Question for Si.

Firstly, I Absolutely love WYWH and all things Crossed, always wishing it was Thursday.

Now... this is likely not the place to post this, so apologies for that.

Im a Director/Editor looking into the possibility of getting a crossed fan film up, of course it would be a not for profit deal & featuring characters and story of my own design, however I am really interested to tell a horror story that takes place in the world of the Crossed. It would likely be set in outback Australia.

Just so you know I'm serious and take my craft very seriously indeed, ill link my last horror flick,

Was hoping that you may be able to point me in the right direction, I honestly really love the material but don't fancy going to jail for a copyright breach.
more than happy to take this offline.

Keep up the great work guys.

I'm answering this, not to speak for anyone else, but because it's potentially unwise for anyone involved in a property to comment, especially if they don't actually own it, which Si doesn't.

The first answer you'd get if you enquired seriously about this would be 'talk to our licensing agent'. The agent would say 'yes, if you give us a fucktonne of money and percentages and sign this and that and blah blah blah...'. If you said 'but I havent' got a fucktonne of money etc' they'd be like; 'off you fuck then'.

If you *haven't* got a fucktonne of money and don't expect any film to make a fucktonne of money, then anyone you actually *ask* about it will say 'no'.

But if you actually go ahead and get on with it, just for fun, but add a disclaimer saying 'yeah, we don't own this, we didn't ask, hey, if you want to come over and bum our pets too, that's fine' and you don't send the writers or company lots of messages pleading 'pleeeaaaaaase look at the thing we did and say you loooved it', they'll *probably* privately feel a little chuffed and impressed if it's any good, or if it's crap will plot more than just bumming your pets but all sorts of other cruel and unusual things too, but will otherwise just get on with their lives or maybe stick a link to it on twitter, but that'll be about it.

Don't put the company or creators in a difficult position that goes against their contracts. Renounce all rights right from the start and go into it with everyone involved clearly understanding that. Then, fuck it, go for it.

TLDR; don't ask, don't tell, don't sell it, do it anyway.

Matt - Thanks for writing. There are currently plans and options on Crossed for movies at the moment and so we would have to decline any fan films at this time. Thanks for asking and thanks for the interest, there will hopefully be moving Crossed in live action for you to see soon enough!

Thanks Odd for your take and William of course.
Wasn't sure if that option had expired, if that's not the case then I can see potential issues with our investors. Project canned I guess.
Would love to know of any updates on the Crossed feature as they come.
