I finally managed to get a 4 with Gustav Fröhlich, who was also in Metropolis, but I'm told there's at least one actor with a bacon number of 8. No idea who, but has to be someone incredibly obscure...

how mysterious. I love that there's a Bacon number urban legend now. "People say there is one actor with a number of 8, but no one knows who...."

I think I've beaten the Bacon number!

    Masaaki Sakai.

The rules are, they're a professional actor, right? Who's been in a film or tv series.

Yeah, Monkey is Irrepressible in Bacon Numbers!

The Bacon number is easily "beatable" in that Google doesn't even try. I tried with a bunch of Norwegian actors (like Otto Jespersen, who appeared in "Trollhunter", which DID get a US release), and it just didn't set off the Bacon number code.

Mind you, for those of you outside of the US: Be sure to do the Bacon search on Google.COM. Norwegian Google doesn't have the code right now, for instance.

There are actually quite a few not even very obscure people that Bacon Number can't parse. Natalie Morales, for one.
