It's Thursday, it's mid-afternoon in London, it's another wrongheaded morning in Mericky, it's who-the-fuck-knows-when in Australia, and it's time for more Crossed Hideosity.
Remember: Not safe for work, not safe for minors, not safe for people of a nervous disposition, not safe for Lipsy London, not safe for fat arses, not safe for box-shaped animals.
Didn't see it coming, even though on reflection it makes perfect sense- the trying so damn hard.
I liked the little touches in this episode; like when Don starts out all bombastic. The first two letters of Tabitha are bolder, his enthusiasm seems to leech away just as soon as he realizes who's been picked.
Very interested now to see the justifications behind Shaky wanting to be back out.
I had the slightest feeling that Shaky was playing a game with us, but I didn't actually expect this.
Oh. Oh GOD. Did he make sure they picked Tabitha, too? We didn't actually see her name come up. Does Shaky want a little "just us and the end of the world, eh girl?" time with the pretty art girl?
...or. OR. Is he making sure everyone who clearly won't survive much longer on the island gets off it, maybe to get somewhere better? Is Shaky as bad a guy as he seems, or is that a misdirect, too?
Shaky, you bastard. I don't know what the hell to do with you, I really don't.
The sortie will be interesting. We'll probably see more of the übercrossed.. Shakes' will make it back, ofc. Maybe Tabs too, maybe not. Selina and Viceroy, it's buhbye time for them.
I reckon Sister Teresa will finish off Baldy... :)
Just going to mention here that just because a story starts out from someone's viewpoint, that's no guarantee that they're going to survive. See the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. That series just loves killing important narrators.
Potential scenario 1: Shaky dies or flees or gets lost, someone else finds his diary, continues the narration method that way.
Potential (and much more hilarious/vicious/evil) scenario 2: Shaky becomes crossed, keeps crossed-narrating through bloodstained (edit: and semen-stained) scribbles in the diary.
Potential scenario 3: Shaky dies or flees or gets lost, and the diary narration goes away.
Bet Des doesn't take it lightly and seeks some form of revenge.
The introduction of the nun character is just too much. She's even called Sister Theresa! "We have to feed the Crossed, they're victims of sin." Too funny!
I also agree Shaky's survival is by no means guaranteed. The entire story is about his transformation from a noble coward to a ruthless leader. Stands to reason he could turn Crossed and become Cava's primary villain.
I would say no. Don picked out Tabitha's name, and I don't see Rab confiding to Don what Shaky did, because Don would have simply found a way to weasel out of it.
Actually Tabitha is doomed, a horrible death which will lead a heartbroken Shaky to take comfort in Seline, you betcha! LOL
Also, if Shaky DOES turn crossed, I fully expect to see a repeat of the "introducing the different personalities on the island" thing they've been doing on break weeks from a Crossed perspective.
