   Dear certain conservative politicians:
   
   Hi! I’m a rapist. I’m one of those men who likes to force myself on women without their consent or desire and then batter them sexually. The details of how I do this are not particularly important at the moment — although I love when you try to make distinctions about “forcible rape” or “legitimate rape” because that gives me all sorts of wiggle room — but I will tell you one of the details about why I do it: I like to control women and, also and indepedently, I like to remind them how little control they have. There’s just something about making the point to a woman that her consent and her control of her own body is not relevant against the need for a man to possess that body and control it that just plain gets me off.    Nah, that's not a Photoshop job, just a panorama stitched together badly by a not-that-smart-phone.     Serious question. Has anyone seen any news around how people in the areas of the northeast US that are powerless in the wake of Sandy are supposed to vote? I've heard people raise the question but no one has an answer.

    It's mostly up to local officials, who are responsible for running elections. But generally:
    
    Plan A is that they get power back on at polling stations before Tuesday, either thru the grid or portable generators.
    
    Plan B is that they move polling stations to locations with power, with directions to the new location posted at the original location (and however else they can reasonably get the word out).
    
    With polling stations that are no longer fit for use (or don't exist anymore), they'll go directly to Plan B.
