    @oldhat: Snrk.

@Ben: It is a bit of a departure, sure. But some people are acting like Humble has personally killed their cat, with quotes like "Well, they completely abandoned Linux and Mac gamers. That's 50% of their customers." or "Indie community proves yet again that AAA is the enemy until a lot of $ shows up. Humility can be bought." (These are direct quotes off of my Twitter feed).

I will say that while I think it's great that they have higher-profile games on the Humble Bundle. That being said, I will not buy it, as I AM a Mac user. Wifeyface has a monster Windows machine, but I never get around to playing on that. I'm not ANGRY at them for ignoring mac users with this bundle, but I am disappointed.

They've had android only bundles before. Excluding users isn't new with this bundle. And it's not really their fault if THQ games are windows only as far as computers go. Honestly, when I got my bundles, I felt cheated that some of the games were windows only, because i felt like windows users were getting more games for the same deal. At least with this bundle I'm not buying a whole bundle for half the games that comes with it. Though I can't really complain given that I get to choose how much I pay for the bundle. In the end I got a fair deal.

The android only thing doesn't annoy me as much as it's for a different platform altogether. I'm not saying it's Humble Bundle's fault, but they ARE putting their stamp on it, so they're part of the decision-making process. Double Fine managed a mac and linux port of Psychonauts.

But, like I said; I think it's great that they're on the bundle. Just disappointed that I'm not joining in the fun. (Because I know I wouldn't be playing the games)

As a note: most of the android bundles can also be played on windows/mac/linux.

I'd definitely like it if there were linux/mac ports of these games, but honestly if there is anyone I'd let lack of cross-platform slide on, it's the bigger companies, because of the phenomenal cost of properly porting a AAA title. Even the Psychonauts Mac port is a bit dodgy, and that game came out in 2005.

I too am disappointed. Also annoyed with Steam at the moment, as I bought a Ticket to Ride pack for about $10 and the thing just won't play. Have contacted support twice now with no response, so I'm fairly certain I just wasted money.

Having mentioned that I bought Rage recently, I found out that Bethesda seem to be planning on releasing DLC for the game. Over a year after it was released. How odd and, from my point of view, coincidental.

Okay, for the first time I'm really annoyed with Telltale Games. I've loved The Walking Dead to pieces, it's exactly that sort of adult, socially driven storytelling I've been looking in games for a long time, but man oh man - the last episode just refuses to work properly. There are many fixes, most of which run a risk of fucking up your save games, and for those who don't know, the game tracks your choices through all the episodes and situations can change drastically depending on what choices you made. The game's been out for over a week, there's no official solution to this in sight, and I'm very hesitant to try the fan solutions. I know Telltale is a small outfit, but damn, stuff like this is starting to really get annoying with their stuff.

Been fiddling with the XCOM demo. I'm not one for tactical games, but this is pretty fun.

Otherwise Uncharted 3 is a fun game and the writing is definitely keeping me there. And LittleBigPlanet is just a big bag of adorable and really fills those "stressful day at work don't wanna think much" needs.

I'm very much in the same camp as you. The original XCOM is the only tactical game I ever stuck with, and I'm now enjoying the shit out of the new one. The demo is basically an on-the-rails version of the full game, which gives you a lot more freedom. One tip: You don't have to do the "story missions" straight away, and you'll make it easier for yourself if you take some other missions first. Too many, though, and the world will start to panic.

EDIT: Hang on, I think I mentioned this elsewhere. Moving on to other things...

Started playing "Henry Hatsworth" for the DS. It starts off slowish, but it's proving to be a lot of fun.

City of Heroes shut down last night. I'm a little... upset, to put it mildly.

...just finished The Walking Dead season ender and man, all is forgiven. I had to go all PC gamer there for awhile and tweak files in folders and all that shit to make the game work, but damn. I'm a script writing and storyline guy myself when it comes to games, and this shot up to the top-3 without doubt. I'll have to let it absorb a bit, and maybe do an another playthrough, but I might have a new top-1 candidate here.

@twentythoughts, did you delete your LBP planet names? Because I was just looking them up on here and now they're gone and I'm pretty sure it was you that had them.
  5.  (10854.115)
@oldhat: I deleted'em initially 'cause I could've sworn I gave'em earlier this thread, and didn't want to nag. But then I realized that was somewhere else, most likely. So here!

    PSN: T20thoughts.

    Levels:

    Hobo Wizard
Hobo Warrior (sequel to Hobo Wizard)
    Big Darn Wheels Inc.

It appears all those levels are in LBP2, which I don't have yet.

Turns out EB Games store guy was a lying liar who lies. Mass Effect trilogy DID come out today! And I decided to pick it up.

So starting all over again after my xbox crashed in the middle of ME2. Still don't know the ending, so I'll thank you for no spoilers (even though everyone's stopped talking about it).

    EDIT TO ADD: OH SHI-

Twyla Shepard. Near as I can make her to the last one I was playing on Xbox.

Thoughts so far on the crossover: a little buggy with audio sync and a few repeats. Glad that I'm able to mess around with the controller , so my trigger finger lands on the R1 button instead of R2.

DARK SOULS 2 IS COMING AUGHAUGHAGSFDHSH

Seriously, Dark Souls may be my favorite game of this generation. If this one is even half as good, it'll be worth it.

So thanks to a recent Steam sale, I finally bought Civ 5. Started my first game ever tonight, and now it's 5.5 hours later, and 3 hours before I have to wake up. Needless to say, I am loving it so far. It's been so long since I've played a good turn based strategy along these lines, and apparently I've missed it. Now time to put two redbulls in the fridge for the morning.
