It's past midnight here, so here's the last thing I worked on from yesterday afternoon:
It's not quite a snapshot but I've had a category four teething toddler to deal with all day and I'm going nowhere till this wine's finished, especially not outside to my shed/workshop...
I got bitten by the furniture bug two years ago, after we moved into our Toronto apartment with nothing but an air mattress and two computers. Since noticing how much cheaper lumber, glue and nails are than non-shitty furniture, I've built a ten-foot computer desk for two, a coffee table, a dining table that seats six people, a four-foot plant stand, a queen sized bed, a hundred and fifty-four feet of bookshelves, a trundle bed for the guest room, a thirty-six-cubic-foot cabinet, and sixty-odd feet of extra shelving in the closets.
Right now I'm working on this little item:
@RenThing: yeah, I should've been more specific. I've edited my opening post.
Here's my fermenter and what's inside it, the Bavarian Hefeweizen, just a bit over a week in fermentation. On Friday I'll be purchasing about three or four bags of frozen blueberries, thawing them, then dumping them in for further fermentation as well as Blueberry wheat goodness.
Because I also think this would be a good "workplace progress" thread, here's the beer so far, with my new addition to the airlock:
Batch one of blueberries are in and they've been fermenting like crazy. Am in love with the colour so far, but think one more bag of blueberries could stand to be put in.
Translating a storytelling game back into Norwegian, after the author rewrote it twice in English in collaboration with English speakers and lost the original. Beautiful pdf of the english edition here.
