    Hi guys,

Sorry to descend into self-promotion, but I was wondering if I could ask for your help.

As you may be aware, I write and produce a comic called Afterlife Inc., new chapters of which update monthly on my website. Volume 1 saw print earlier this year, while Volume 2 (NEAR LIFE AND OTHER STORIES) will be debuting at Thought Bubble mid-November.

    Afterlife Inc. Volume 2

I've just launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund Volume 3 of Afterlife Inc. If successful, Kickstarter profits will fund 96 pages of full colour artwork from artists Ash Jackson and Nadine Ashworth, and the first print run of the book.

If you’d like more information about the project, please check out my official Kickstarter page, where you find full details of my target, available rewards and of course the story at the heart of Volume 3. I even had a stab at making a video:

Afterlife Inc. has been a labour of love for a long time now. As the comic grows in scale, the time has come to tell the larger, more ambitious stories I’ve always dreamed of – but to do that I really need your help. If this sounds like something you’d like to back, Ash, Nadine and I have prepared some great rewards, which we hope will interest you.

Also, if you’d like to check out more of Afterlife Inc. the entire back catalogue is available to read for free on my site.

Thanks for the time, gang. Any support you might be able to lend would mean the world.

p.s. if anyone is attending Thought Bubble this year, be sure to come find me and say hello. The Afterlife Inc. table will be in the Royal Armouries Hall.

Oh, how I wish I had $650 to spare, to become an Afterlife Inc. henchman.
Looks great, as per usual. I've been meaning to throw money at you for a while, now. I've pledged what I can, and will remember you next June when my birthday rolls around and people ask me what I want.

Question: What happens to Afterlife Inc. if this project fails? I don't get a doom and gloom "We need this to survive" vibe from your video--do you continue as you are now, does volume 3 get produced more slowly, etc.?

I've let friends know, but my friends don't have any money, so the best we can hope for is new readers on your website.

    Hey Zach,

Cheers massively for the support! Should have got back to you sooner. That's what I get for not checking my posts... derp ;)

Really glad to hear that you're enjoying Afterlife Inc. It certainly means a lot. If we don't reach the target, then no, it won't be the end for Afterlife Inc. Lifeblood will definitely be going ahead in one form or another, although at a much slower pace. Sadly, my output has always been limited by budget.

It's always the way, isn't it?

Still, I'm holding out hope for our project, even if this month has been an emotional roller coaster. Fingers crossed and thanks!
