Second: Respectfully, that's not my point. My point is: DMZ and The Massive are most powerful when they're read closest to when they are originally serialized, because they're commentary about the world around us. That's not to say they don't have resonance when they're collected and have spines thrown on 'em, but because of their subject matter when you get to them makes a difference, I think.
There's also a flaunting of normal behavior in reading a single issue of a comic in public that I think still appeals to the man who wrote Channel Zero fifteen years ago. In the case of DMZ or The Massive, with an obvious agenda, it goes doubly.
