    @Kay, small world! The yoga studio is still there. Enmore? Was that the building with the wolf/dog thing? Didn't really know the area well enough and all I had to go on was a quick wikipedia scan article on Sydney graf. I ended up walking from Newtown to St. Martins on a Saturday morning. Fun stuff.

    Enmore is the suburb next to Newtown. That building - on the corner of Gladstone and Wilford - we used to call The Fork. It's right on the border of Newtown and Enmore. And I think you probably walked to St Peters: it's just south of Newtown and there's lots of graf down there, especially in Mays Lane next to a framing company called Graphic Art Mount. The proprietor, Tugi Balog, is a thoroughly decent guy and a bit of a local legend. I've sent him a fair bit of business over the years. He's been instrumental in making St Peters the beating heart of graf in Sydney. Drop me a line next time you're in town, I'll introduce you to some artists and show you around!

    @JP - love that first photo. I like how solitary the tree and the house look, and the lines the borders of trees make.

    You lovely bastards.

    @JP Hooray for macro studios! Quite lovely.

    We went and got lost on a foreign coast. Whilst fending off literally hordes of stunning dragonflies (none of which stayed still long enough to be macroed, how selfish) we stumbled across an abandoned crumbling town complete with minaret.

    OH MY GOD. I love how clear and bright that tiny little constellation in the upper left of the first photo is (and in the second photo as well).

    @Jehrot, those are incredible.

    Not nearly as impressive as Jehrot's stuff, but I picked up some antique bottles recently and took some photos.

    @argos That's the Pleiades. They glow blue. Although my photo's black and white...

    @Fixzr - thanks! I'd always wondered what it was called. I find it a lot when the starts are actually visible and it's one of the constellations I can always recognize. I just never actually knew what it was called.

    And another, just because.

    Do you guys get special permission to photograph? At this gig there were about 5 photographers between the barrier and the stage, but they got punted out after the second song and I only saw one of them again at the end, whereas I set myself up against the barrier and stayed there for most of the gig. It was pretty busy, so I couldn't really move, though.

    I get special permission, but I'm associated with a website who deals with all of that for me.
