    Yeah, that's a good one.

Back from my yearly noise-festival pilgrimage. More to come, once I gear up to dealing with low-light concert photography. (Could be a while. There are a lot of shots. I think they might be better suited to a Vine account, tbh.)

In the meantime, the first one was an installation, and the second one is of people setting off fire lanterns during a stage performance:

@ allana: I shouldn't worry - every time i come here i feel like a monkey sitting at a typewriter, chewing on a corner of the complete works of Shakespeare.

Ha! Thanks guys. If it's any consolation I feel so so broken I'm having a hard time working out what's real and what's not. Note to self: don't pull an overnighter in the desert on two hours sleep and a crippling hangover ever again. Idiot.

Here's the last of the decent ones.

On two hours of sleep and a crippling hangover?

I'm just going to go away now and have a little cry.

Last ones! Itching to get out and do some more astro stuff. If it's any consolation roadscum I'd had the whole thing planned for weeks. Loads of research etc. I'd drummed so much into my skull I genuinely had a dream about a man with a beard of meteors. It was terrifying.
These were all taken with the Samyang 14mm 2.8 mentioned earlier in the annals of this thread. Absolutely amazing lens for the money. $350 US exceptionally well spent.

One thing that always makes me incredibly sad is that almost everyone in the UK will never get to see the night sky like that.

@Jehrot - Thank you for introducing my jaw to the floor, they're really hitting it off. Were you opening a door to underhell in that last one?

@oldhat - That tower picture also blew my socks off.

You mean, the barbwire skewered fish carcass was not part of the preppy wedding? Weird.

Jehrot's star shots make me really want to go back up to the mountains. I really need a wider lens though. And I don't like my star tracking rig very much any more and I have an idea for one that I want to build (or have built) but have no idea how to.

    Jehrot, you are amazing.
