As we're on an old/broken things tip here, last month I took apart an accordion. I don't think this one should be restored into pristine condition, those signs of wear are awesome. (And of course now I want to build one.)

Cara: Those typewriter shots are great! I love those old keys and letters; nice detail shots.

    @ Dorkmuffin

great band photos, that drummer one with the back lighting is great!
You should conveert it to black and white and get your photoshop curves tool to
really put some distance between the lights and darks...

Take it to the next level!

    Everybody is getting so good!

    @Manglr Jealous!
@Dorkmuffin Excellent stuff. I really really really want to take some band pics.
@Cara Congratulations on the prize! Definitely deserved. And I love the typewriter shots.
@Taphead Did you put it back together again?

Went to the Moto GP last night. Spent the whole goddamn race panning madly from left to right. Probably looked odder than usual. It turns out it's really fucking hard to get good results, as my hit/fail ratio can attest. Still, got a couple I like, even if does look like I've photoshopped all the riders out. Practice practice practice practice etc

@Jehrot - thanks...and love the motorbikes. The first couple do look a little unreal given how good the isolation is on the single rider. Very Tronish even without the neon.

Thanks. Yeah, I get a Tron vibe too. I love your shot of the blue cacti especially. Very much like the framing of the second one, too. Something very precise, almost delicate, about it. Did you get any astro stuff? I imagine Joshua tree to be prime star hunting territory!

@Jethrot - It still needs some repairs and spare parts before reassebly. A pretty intersting contraption, all in all...

I'm not much of a photographer, and this is done on an iPod Touch of all things, but I do like the weird courtyard roof of the British Museum...

@Flabyo That building is amazing. Not least because it's basically a swag house.

Just took another run at the jumpy little sod at maximum magnification. He was remarkably compliant.

And one final dump (last one, I promise). I went for a late night wander yesterday and abused the pretty lights.

@jehrot I don't know why, but I am in love with that spider. He's just so fucking adorable I want to give him a hug and rub his fuzzy head!
