    I don't really do new year's resolutions as such, but here are the things I've lined up:

    Concrete:

    - Finish the novel. The tentative publication date is in June, the insanity of this autumn pushed things forward a bit, but I'm confident that if it slips, it'll only slip to Christmas. Starting on the third draft now.
    - Do another IF-game and try to win some more competitions. Or, alternatively, just create good interactive art. But competitions are nice too.
    - Get my AESD research diver certificate. The school starts next Monday and the final exams should be in October.

    Personal:

    - Slow down, fucking finally. Against all odds the groundwork and projects I've laid down for doing this bore fruit in the end of the year, so it might just be possible - nay, downright feasible that I don't have to burn my candle with a welding torch for the next decade too.

    Do people like the idea of checking in on a monthly basis? I love the ambitions people come up with, from losing weight to getting some Serious Art Projects rolling forward. Whitechapel has always been a place for people to inspire me, so maybe we should try to keep that up... Are people down with coming in and admitting when they've spent a full week sleeping and watching grass grow? Maybe we could even offer each other requested tips on an ongoing basis...

    Thoughts? Like it? Hate it?

    I dunno, I might read an anthology of "Asian Supermarket Stories." What's the story behind the facial scar on the otherwise beautiful girl who works at the Customer Service desk? Why is the choice between two brands of rice noodles making that elderly man weep? What is the dark and terrible connection between the longest-open supermarket in Hangzhou and a tiny, run-down Global Foods in Omaha?
