    I'm not really a fan of Bleeding Cool and some of Rich's nonsense but this I think is a great idea just because... jesus, really?

    I like the show, and actually the Penny character has kicked the guys ass on video games in several episodes, but it is popular to bash the show among the "I only listen to bands you've never heard of" crowd.

    Or the "goddammit, why is this a nerd minstrel show" crowd. Sorry if I sound butthurt, and I don't mean to start shit, but the "I only listen to bands you've never heard of" crowd is a terrible way to dismiss people who don't like this show as not having a valid opinion because they're snobs.

    Also, it's clearly not the case. Look at the traction this story has been getting.

    BBT has moments, but for a show that's ostensibly about messing with stereotypes, it all too often falls back on embracing those stereotypes.

    Not to mention that when the writers can't think of anything else, they fall back on "geeky pop culture reference without any actual joke in it=instant humor gold".

    So when Family Guy puts BBT on to mock it, and it sounds like an actual non-pop-culture joke from BBT... Um... Some kinda media universe thing somewhere just imploded, I guess?
