@snead046: I first read it as ARSE not Arise. I kept wondering why they would call it ARSE, until I came back later. Proves what a filthy mind I have, I guess.

@Foamhead: Wow, that photograph is beautiful. (Also, glad I'm not near it in RL.)

Six years old, and still some of the coolest animation I've ever seen.

    KEY. LIME. PIE.

Oh, yeah I got rid of it back in December. Sort of a New Year's Resolution, as I was spending too much time on it that I could have spent writing.

There are two works of animation that I've been trying to find for a while. Both were on the net in the last five or six years, but Google hasn't provided any hits from my vaguely-worded queries, so I'm hoping someone here will know what I'm talking about.

One was a black-and-white short, where a man was telling his child a bedtime story, which involved large, hideous worms, and I think there was some danger of the worms eating the house the dad and child lived in.

The other was a trailer for a work-in-progress. It was a French photorealistic CGI gangster film rivaling Pixar in detail work, but the characters were radically deformed. I think I saw the trailer on Boing Boing, but I've been unable to locate the article in question.

    Anyone?

@Trini I am pretty sure that a series called GiTS Arse would still find an audience among a certain section of the Motoko Kusinagi fandom.

Are flying squid a natural enemy or ally of arse eels? If they cross-breed...now that's scary.
