My Grandma Zimmerman had severe arthritis and could not use her hands for as long as I could remember and could barely move when she died. It makes me appreciate my hands, but also scares the hell out of me whenever my hands hurt . . .

Bridesmaid dress selected. The pink is going to be way paler (which I'm nervous about with my skin tone, but I get to choose the cut and not the color, so the color is mandated), and the sample size I tried on was a size too big and this was before the guy clipped me all up so that I could see how it would ACTUALLY fit. And I'm making a derpy face because I'm trying like hell to take a self portrait with a borrowed iPhone and the balancing act is difficult.

So I'm in week three of trying to figure out the mystery of Computer Vision Syndrome.
I got my eyes tested, confirmed I'm still 20/20, and the opto-guy said to pick up some +1 reading glasses and see if they made the light-sensitive headaches go away. So I did.
I was going to take some pictures of myself in them, but that was boring, so I took some pictures of you in them, looking at me. Sort of.

Anyways, so far so good. No headache today, anyways, even though I could feel it, like a threat, lurking at the edges. Might invest in the special computer-vision-goggles they say they can make.

Well, here it is! Some of the resultant cross-gender tango shots!

Not super-happy with the photographer as it took a lot of prompting to get him to let me set up a backlit shot, by which time we only had time to do one pose in it, which is the shot at the top. Some of the shots came out really well, though, and I was contorting my body in ways I hadn't thought possible until now. I'm happy. :)

365 Project Day 60: Geek (Miss Spite got me to join Tumbler, it's Guest Directed Self Portrait theme 8)

Doing a test run for some wedding makeup stuff. Specifically: new blush color (coral - LOVE IT), finishing powder, and how a new crease brush applies eyeshadow (perfectly, huzzah!). Also finally learned how to fill in my eyebrows with eyeshadow to fill in gaps and define my arches without making my brows look too thick and heavy; took me a while to figure out what eyeshadow colors to use (medium-dark brown mixed with a tad of black). My eyebrows are pretty good without any filling in but the hair in the arch area is a bit sparse so sometimes my brows can look arch-less, and I just really like the look of defined arches.

This isn't the full makeup look. I only have a sheer powder foundation on, no concealer, no mascara or false eyelashes.
