Hrrm. The filled in darks for this dude look way more "lit up" on my laptop then when I was on my PC where the darks were deeper. I should probably figure out how to calibrate the PC screen or something.
@ chris g try to put some shadows there, it'll be much better. It's good, but it looks a little flat right now. @ mojokingbee i like your stuff man, i've seen a lot of them on tumblr, but i get the feeling that you're doing them in a hurry. Try to spent more hours in your sketches, i'd love to see something with more clean lineart from you.
@mojoingbee - must disagree with evilgeorge here - [ sorry man! :) ] - I LOVE the energy of your work, I really struggle to capture a fraction of the dynamism you seem to access so confidently.
@tnperkins - Thanks for the kind words back there! I love your work and am envious of your background skills.
So, that animation loop I was working on is now done and up for your viewing pleasure. ANIMALYMPICS! Check it out, vote, peruse the other loops. There are some talented, demented folk on that site.
Since Horrible Warning Si and the extra-dimensional Pope resurrected me from the (artistic) dead, been busy all week. Here's the resulting poster (23"x34.5" at 300 dpi for the original) (click image for link to 75 dpi jpg version)
My finished B.P.R.D. drawing. Drawn with a brushpen and coloured digitally in Photoshop. It's based on a cover by Mike Mignola. You can see both versions here. I changed a few things...
@mojo- great stuff- some of your faces lately seem to be getting more realistic or something, I like it @ jesse rubenfeld- that spidey is awesome! @3 million- that cracked me up nice one! @-3- amazing collage-style. the background designs are very impressive @ iaviv- looking good the frog skeleton is great
Here's my "Why do I even get out of Bed?" comic
This is an old drawing that I just restored digitally today. The original is all torn up and covered with dirt, coffee and booze from my college days as a street artist ( 2004-5)
