It's Thursday, it's mid-afternoon in London, it's another wrongheaded morning in Mericky, it's who-the-fuck-knows-when in Australia, and it's time for more Crossed Hideosity.

    Episode 40, live and free-to-air.

Wow, looks like everything turned out all Crossed eh, those "it can and always will get worse" plot twists that we've learned to love. Feel bad for Shaky though, looks like he stuck in an awkward position but it was his fault anyways. And at least they saved one more dude that can hold his own. As for the flashback...at least you tried Lloyd, at least you tried...

HAHAHAHAHAHA - I can't fucking believe the little 'lordship' and his inability to do precisely dick. Damn near deserved the outcome with his pansi-assed way of letting it happen at all, never mind for so long.

And poor Shaky...all that "make your bed, you lie in it" whatnot. Bet his mind is revving good and high now! Wonderful pages, Si - absolutely wonderful! Thanks as always!

Shaky doesn't have much of a leg to stand on. Sure everything he's saying about Jasper is true, but...

Hope this means Richie gets some retaliation, although if what happened to Lloyd is anything to go by...

Pretty sure this confirms the GK is still alive in the present story. But in what capacity? And maybe Crossed or Exxed?

Shaky's making so many enemies he better start playing hardball!

I think the way the story moves between the present and Shake's flashbacks are expertly done. Fun to read.

Hate the Gamekeeper, the freaking psycopath. If he goes crossed there won't be much change (he's got no problems getting a hard-on for a little rape right after blasting someone with a shot-gun - who's kicking the bucket right there next to him - major potential to become a crossed extraordinare...

And Viceroy, amigo - for a secod there I thought it was the end..., the luck is still strong, eh...

Looking forward to the next chapter... :thumb-up:

We have to be near the end of ch 2 right? I wish this would never end :(

I don't get that Elisa and Des would take Jasper's word against someone whom they've known for over a year, nor that they would shoot at people without first identifying them as crossed, especially since they were presumably expecting the sortie to return.

Go back to Season 1. Eliza and Des were mad at Shaky anyway for leading the sortie. Cava was never exactly a consortium of nice people! As for shooting at them, I chalk that up to Jasper's (growing) influence and his methods of leading through intimidation. Figures he'd immediately make friends with Shaky's rivals.

    Wow.

Shaky's got the gift of gab, though, right? Fact he's still alive in his shitty hammock's proof enough of THAT.

Can't wait for next week. (Or the fucking PRINT EDITION, since this "comics-on-a-wretched-screen" thing pisses me off something rotten.)

I thought it was the Prince on the island for a second. I wouldn't be surprised if John or Don has had an "Accident" of some kind an Jasper's ruling in his stead.

Elisa often swapped duties with Shaky, and while critical of his inquisitiveness and speculation still seemed to get along with him. She and Des both had their backs turned to Shaky, who was armed, while on that sortie during season 1 where they stumbled across the poisoned crossed who reminded Elisa of her mother. I don't think they'd have done that if they didn't trust Shaky. For them to just let Jasper come and practically take over the place (though we'll see what happened to Rab and Don soon enough), much less take his word over that of someone they've known for over a year, just doesn't make much sense to me.

Of course, I'd still like to know why Shaky was leaving notes for Aoileean in the first place, especially if those notes provided directions to Cava. Seems to contradict all he's doing to keep the survivors hidden, including not cooking food during a full moon and dyeing the sheep green so that they blend in with the grass at a distance.
