    @Lazarus99 & Wood:

    I have a pretty enduring childhood memory from my step-grandparents farm. A neighbor (ie. someone a kilometer away) had set up a small fox fur ranch, and one morning in spring or autumn I went out alone to play in a really early hour. I was maybe six years old or so, not sure. There was a super dense fog, which the sun had just started to burn away, and for some reason the foxes were really talkative. There were these echoing yelps and growls that somehow penetrated the fog, although the rest of the world was muted. That was a powerful moment.

    I believe they are what makes the Screaming Woods in Pluckley scream.

    If any Finnish media would deign to hint about something like this, they would be sarcasmed down in here in a heartbeat. 'Cause this is the crab-bucket we live in here.

    "It says a lot about the current cultural pre-eminence of television that the Museum of Modern Art is promoting Mikko Niskanen’s “Eight Deadly Shots” — a five-and-a-quarter-hour film made as a mini-series for Finnish TV in 1972 — as a forerunner of “The Wire,” “Breaking Bad” and “The Killing.”"

    Dunno how Tumblr image linking works if you haven't already seen it, but the whole thing continues here.

    @icelandbob: I would happily watch that. Even if it is by definition "boring".
