Swedish cinemas are planning to rate films on the Bechdel Test.

(The comment section is, unsurprisingly, full of misinformed and entitled whining, and delightful beatdowns thereof.)

    Oddly satisfying gifs.

Can anybody tell me what is this stuff?

I don't hate it, but I recognize its limitations. I could write a short film about two women being molested by a hentai tentacle monster, have them talk about the monster and technically pass the Bechdel test, but I don't see that film doing much for gender equality. Likewise, I could write another film about two women detectives hunting for a male robbery suspect that would fail that test, because the women would be discuss the male suspect and how to catch him.

    Great Micky & friends strip.

I expect the creator will soon find himself with a bag over his head, being dragged through an underground corridor in Disneyland to a fate best not contemplated.

Max Landis is Hollywood royalty, currently working on about a hundred movie scripts, so no, more likely they'll politely ask him to take it down, then offer him a deal to write an updated "Mike and Donald" cartoon.

I didn't know Max Landis wrote it when i first saw it. There is just another reason to like him.

@everyone talking about the Mickey and Friends comic, you should look in the archive for another Max Landis comic by the same artist called And A Thousand More. It's truly excellent.

@Vorn - the powder's probably a cellulose compound reacting with a water-based flavouring in the bowl.
