The E3 trailer for The Division looks pretty exciting, too.

I've just got back into gaming, having recently rebuilt my PC after it became hideously outdated and then completely non-functional. I am not quite this guy, but I'm close: the first game I played after firing up Steam after nearly three years out was Portal 2. I'm playing through Bioshock (having successfully avoided spoilering the twist for six years!), Company of Heroes, and Assassin's Creed 2. I have a list of games to catch up on that would probably keep me occupied until 2014, but in the interests of excess, are there any games from the last four or five years I need to play?

(The list at the moment does include the Mass Effect series, so that box is ticked.)

The UI on The Division looks sweet! The overlays really work in the world. I also quite enjoyed the chatter. At first, I thought it was some form of in-game stuff, but when they were going "one on the right! Another two!" I finally cottoned on to the fact it was a Co-op thing. They did seem a bit casual about the whole situation.

Looks really cool, I'd love to do some co-op on that game.

E3 Day 1 impressions. If it's a bit rough around the edges it's because there's no time for anything at all, such as proper editing. Sleepy...

I am so happy about the MIrror's Edge news that I'm going to be livestreaming a full playthrough of the original game on Friday night/Saturday morning.

No E3 wrap-up article today. You'd think for a press event I'd have more time for writing. Oh well, I've got plenty of notes for later.

Surprise of the day- Sonic: Lost World is really fantastically fun. It feels like classic Sonic in 3D. Who knew that could happen?

@Morac, it's like Sony tapped in to my brain, found my fetish for creepy poetical guys in suits who are excited by the idea of violence and thought it would make a great ad.

Can I just say that Octodad: The Deadliest Catch is some of the greatest news for me from E3? Aside from Mirror's Edge, of course. I'm sure I would have have a joy-induced aneurism if they'd finally announced The Last Guardian as well, but that seems SORT OF unlikely by now.

I finally received my OUYA (with an additional controller) last night and played around for a bit. It was super easy to set up, update and pair the controllers.

I found quite a few fun games to play around with (Fist of Awesome, Puddle, Bombsquad, The Ball, etc), but haven't toyed around with the emulators or side loaded anything yet.
Morac pointed out that Towerfall comes out for it soon, so I'll grab that too. I really like that the games are required to be free to play in one form or another (e.g. the first level is free, five credits a day, etc.). They've got a nice list of what's available on their site.
This seems like it's going to make a fun, social gaming center. Even my girlfriend, who really only liked Portal 1 & 2, was intrigued by some of the games (Polarity and Puddle).

The only real issue that I ran into was that a trigger on one of the controllers kept getting stuck in the depressed position while playing pinball. Other than that, the controllers felt really good.

I'm looking forward to seeing what else I can do with this snazzy lil thing.

The fella went to GameStop today to preorder Batman: Arkham Origins and Deadpool (I already know the Arkham gmaeplay isn't my cup of tea, and I'll give Deadpool a try, but if the trailers have been any indication, his constant quipping will be painful), and the manager gave him a teaser comic for Remember Me. I find myself wanting it, even though I have no idea how it plays. Dystopian future Paris, mixed-race female protagonist, a plot that kinda sounds like Total Recall I think... it just looks cool.

    @brittanica:

It sounded cool indeed, but apparently it plays pretty horrible :/ The memory edit parts are far and between, and mostly it's very clunky and repetitive combat. Haven't heard much good about it post-release.

@Vorn: Aw, bummer. Wikipedia was leading me to believe that it wasn't that bad, w/ a lot of 70/100 review scores. It sucks when a game tries something different and fails publicly. Though I guess it wasn't that public, since I had no idea the game existed til yesterday...

I watched the trailer for Beyond yesterday. It looks ... well, it's difficult to say what it looks like. There's no gameplay in there, just a long cinematic. All the same, I can't remember seeing a game "starring" someone like this before. There's plenty of games with actors in, but have any had the name at the top of the poster like this before?

@Osmosis: There was also the "Apocalypse" game, which was a muchly-hyped PS1 game "starring" Bruce Willis.

Me playing Mirror's Edge live stream happening here in a few minutes. I'll try not to be excessively mumbly.

And done. Not only was I excessively mumbly, but I had the levels set wrong everywhere, so my commentary is barely audible whenever there's anything going on.
