Thanks a lot @Mojo and @Jackcrowder! LOVING the Mononoke and Tennant-Who. Mine would be a lot less sketchy if I had one of those brush pens. I used to have them when I was studying art in school, but haven't had one in ages.

On that note, does anyone use those pens? You know, the ones with the soft, brush-like tip? If you do, what's your favourite?

I have been slacking SO bad in the last few months. I tried kicking my own ass to finish up some long-lingering projects, but I've been so blocked. About all I managed to do was ruin some pictures of my Facebook friends (and my daughters and my fella). There's a couple of familiar faces in there, too.

@ chris g, That Batman? That's one of the finest pieces I've ever seen you craft. I also get this cool Anthony Head vibe from your Joker that has created an entire series of ideas that's bound to distract me for the rest of the day.

Purposefully went a BIT crazy with the shading this time, for the purposes of practice and because I thought it'd suit what I was going for. However, I think in the future, I'll be trying to look towards doing things more the MojoKing way. I don't know when I started doing the shading as thick as the outlines, but it's not working. Part of it is probably that I need to get used to the brush-pen and learning to go really, really light with it. Overall, I'm reasonably happy with this one, though. The process felt pretty fluid and I feel like I'm beginning to understand the shapes of faces a bit more than I used to.

@Crowder: I love it! It looks really strange (In a good way) and it draws you in with those faces.

EDIT: TWO drawings in ONE day?! CRAZINESS!

    LL-stretch

This might be my favourite of the recent days of drawing. This is the same model as the very ribby, dark drawing. Had MUCH more control over the shadows this time, though I feel like I should be using a medium-thick hard tip pen for them to bring them fully under my control and avoid stuff like that mess around the front knee.

Magnulus - Like your inking style, the thick lines and shading makes them look like old woodblock prints.

jackcrowder - Thanks! Been painting lately and it's like unlocking an achievement or something. It's a nice organic experience and I feel more aware of how to blend and add texture.

    here's a venom i just did.
