I'm a few weeks behind on Venture Brothers.

    So: SPANIKOPITA!

I can't believe next week's Venture Brothers is the last of the season already. My favorite throw away reference this season is the "Steve Albino" line.

Yeah, watched 5/6/7 of VB last night. Pretty impressed. I didn't know this week was the last of the season, though. I guess beggars can't be choosers - and they've certainly big-reveal'd us to death already.

@WJD, I'm more into Shore Leave's latest nicknames. Brockanova? Brock Cousteau? Knee-slappers, all of 'em.

What do we think of Fox's upcoming Posthuman & Android buddy cop show Almost Human? The trailer makes it look half decent, and definite cyberpunk themes throughout.

(I know this is scheduled for November so this isn't exactly the correct thread but what the hell..)

    @snerak:
It's a JJ Abrams joint. Could be Lost, could be early Alias/Fringe, could be late-era Alias/Fringe, could be as bad as Alcatraz or as superb as Person of Interest...

...in short, I will watch with interest. Whatever happens, Urban will be gruff and that's never less than fun.

Venture Bros. season finale was good, but didn't feel finale-y to me. What'd you folks think?
  3.  (11105.9)
@ steevo - I agree. Actually the episode before felt more like a finale and the finale felt more like a season opener episode. Not complaining though, still loved it and I hope there will be another season.

I do believe that they're signed on for at least one more.

I think I read that they said at comic-con that the first episode of the next season is the season finale of this one
  4.  (11105.12)
@ TF - well there you go then. My guess is that they just split 13 episodes into 2 seasons.

    @ William Joseph Dunn

No, this season was 10 episodes. The Halloween special and the hour long season premiere count for three episode and then there were seven more. Next season will also be ten episodes. They're cutting the overall number of episodes to get a faster turn around time for seasons.

@johnjones - We'll see how that works out for them, it was still 3 or so years between the last season and this "10" ep'er.

ETA. Not that I'm complaining. They can take as long as they want as far as I'm concerned (especially while they're doing some of the best writing in the biz). I just don't 100% believe that the turnaround will be faster.

I could only watch the first few minutes of Under the Dome last night before I realized it's like every Stephen King book/movie/tvshow where a group/town of people all go crazy. I have never read the book, but I assume it will end the way every Stephen King story ends: an explosion, or aliens (or maybe both).

I stopped watching Under the Dome after the third episode because I watched it after watching the pilot to The Bridge, which is infinitely better on so many levels. I could no longer watch something that I completely realized was crap.

I tapped out after halfway through the 3rd episode of "Under the Dome". The only reason I gave it a chance was BKV's name was attached to it. The plot line with boyfriend kidnapping his ex was moronic.

I watched the first 2 episodes of "The Bridge" and they have my attention for now. Hopefully it won't end up being as disappointing as "The Killing".

VERY happy that Netflix UK will be showing the new season of Breaking Bad in weekly installments following the US airing.

No piracy here - the system is improving!!!

The Bridge continues to be both fast moving and slow burning in awesome ways.

I was really unsatisfied with the first episode of The Bridge.

    Worth giving another go?
