Anybody going to be roaming Comic-con this year? Looks like I'll be there, and although I have no idea what my schedule will be (except that I'll be around for the whole event), might be nice to bump fists/horns/pot-bellies with some 'chaplains that might be present.

I'll be there on Thursday, and if you're still there Sunday I have that day off if you wanna meet up for lunch or something. I can also meet up for dinner on Fri or Sat once I'm done with work. Hooray!

I won't be at the con proper, but I'll be down there on the Saturday for the Thrilling Adventure Hour show, so if anyone wants to meet-up for a late lunch or early dinner or something I'd be down.

Coolness - I don't yet have a clue as to my schedules, this being a work trip and all, but I'll holler here when details emerge!

I'll be at the con from Wednesday through Sunday. Time will probably be focused on volunteering and catching a few panels, such as the VERONICA MARS one. But I am intrigued by the idea.

Someone I know (Dr. Meryl Jaffe) is doing a panel on using comics in education, if that is the sort of thing anyone going would be interested in.

I'm not going to SDCC today because I have too much work and I'm something of a hermit these days, but something I worked on will be there. If you are at SDCC today (Friday), go see "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox"! :

Friday, July 19 7:30 to 9:30 pm at Ballroom 20: "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox" will be screened. Panel includes Justin Chambers (Flash), Kevin McKidd (Batman), C. Thomas Howell (Professor Zoom), Cary Elwes (Aquaman), Sam Daly (Superman), and a few surprise voice cast members, producer James Tucker, director Jay Oliva, dialogue director Andrea Romano, screenwriter Jim Krieg, and character designer Phil Bourassa with Gary Miereanu as moderator. Friday, July 19 9:30 to 11:30 pm at Ballroom 20: "Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox" encore

The local Bible-thumpers tried to convert the SDCC heathens to Christ. One of them was haranguing the crowd with how Harry Potter was a false god, and the real God is a mean sadistic bastard who only means well.

A failed effort to go to the "Veronica Mars" panel made me realize that unless I'm going with a team of fellow fans, I am not taking six hours out of my life just to catch a 45-minute panel.

Oddly enough, the highlight of SDCC for me was stopping by the 2000AD booth and scoring a copy of "The Simping Detective." Also, discovering and enjoying Willow-Perkins' "Cairo" was also a plus.

This is popping up on the news sites now but for those that don't read them here you go.

I was at Comic Con and recorded 19 Panels and The Eisner Awards.
